To give you complete clarity on how your child’s day is structured, we divide our operational hours into two distinct, purposeful blocks: Extended Childcare and the Core Pre-K Immersion Block.
Core Pre-K Immersion Block
Time:
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Focus:
Targeted Academics, School Readiness, and Full Language Immersion
This dedicated four-hour block is where our structured academic curriculum takes center stage. During these core hours, the classroom transforms into an active learning academy. Our teachers guide students through a highly intentional, dual-language schedule designed to build critical thinking, literacy, and cognitive skills.
What Happens During This Time
Morning & Mid-Day Circle Times:
Interactive community building, weather and calendar math, and immersive Spanish storytelling.
Targeted Academic Activities:
Small-group instruction focusing on pre-reading, writing readiness, math concepts, and sensory science exploration.
Fine Motor Development:
Tracing, cutting, sorting, and building to strengthen muscles needed for kindergarten writing.
Social Dining:
Our structured lunch routine where children build independence and practice table language in Spanish.

Our childcare blocks provide the vital, loving bookends to our academic day. These hours are designed to support working families while ensuring children have the time and space to process what they've learned, move their bodies, and rest.
What Happens During This Time
Gentle Arrivals
A warm, low-stress transition from home with a healthy breakfast (provided from home) and a calm floor play to wake up their minds

Drop-Off must occur between 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM
This allows sufficient time for kiddos to get settled and ready for their day
Drop-Off by 8:25 AM if eating breakfast at center
Rest & Recharging
Our dedicated afternoon nap and quiet mindfulness block, ensuring growing brains get the deep rest they need to regulate emotions
Gross Motor & Outdoor Time
High-energy outdoor playground intervals, turf-time games, and indoor climbing to develop balance, physical coordination, and team sportsmanship
Social Free Play & Departures
Child-led cooperative play using classroom learning centers, puzzles, and dramatic play. This time fosters critical emotional intelligence, sharing, and problem-solving before heading home.

While pick-ups are flexible, keep in mind nap time is between 1:00PM and 3:00PM
We ask disruptions to be minimized during these times to provide a restful period to all children.

Play-Based, Purpose-Drive
At Little Pasitos, we use a play-based, child-centered curriculum model infused with full Spanish language immersion. We believe that young children learn best when they are actively doing, touching, and exploring.

We don't use boring, repetitive worksheets. Instead, our curriculum turns every game, song, and science project into an intentional learning milestone. Whether they are counting Spanish playdough balls or tracing letters in sand, they are building real academic skills through joyful discovery.

Preparing for Kindergarten & Beyond
We believe true kindergarten preparation involves the whole child. By blending these two programs into a single day, your child masterfully builds the dual foundations required for modern school success.

Academic Confidence
Through the Pre-K block, they learn how to follow structural routines, raise hands, use school materials safely, and understand core language and mathematical concepts.

Social-Emotional Maturity
Through the extended childcare blocks, they learn the art of making friends, resolving conflicts independently during free play, regulating their bodies, and mastering self-help skills (like packing their own bag and managing shoes).
